"Bending Zen" Subthemes of Zen Theme for Drupal 6

Subthemes is the second video in my Bending Zen Series. This shows you how to quickly set up a subtheme using Zen as your base theme in Drupal 6. Setting up a subtheme is a quick and easy way to utilize Zen's functionality without tinkering with Zen itself. It also allows you to run updates to the Zen theme without completely reworking your theme.

you can't half waffle on.

That was almost ten minutes of video for around thirty seconds of useful information.

Here in the third World our bandwidth is capped at around a Gig per month. If I'd known thatthis tutorial would be primarily about changing the name of the left sidebar to 'left area' I wouldn't have bothered.

Ha ha ha! Even if you only get 30 seconds out of that, you got something, right? :) Glad I can contribute!

I think others found this useful, sorry if it didn't appeal to what ever specifics you are looking for. If you watched the video, the "left area" was only 30 seconds, not the bulk of the video - But hey, feel free to come back and take more of your frustrations out on me for your 'crappy bandwidth'.

I can't seem to find the video where you start digging into css... You talked about it in video 3 of bending the zen...

Part of it is trying to break it up to stay within YouTube's 10 minute rule! Plus I decided to go with the Subtheme approach instead of trying to edit all of Zen (I don't know what I was thinking). But I know... I've been slacking.

This is awesome. I'm really looking forward to the next parts, and hope you'll do more themeing Drupal screencasts!  I've been slowly getting into themeing Drupal and these kinds of screencasts and walkthroughs really help.
